Greeting Card of the Year!
"NEW YORK - The Greeting Card Association (GCA) held its annual Louie Awards presentation, on Sunday night, May 20, in New York City. The Louie Awards circus-themed gala, entitled "The Greatest Cards on Earth!" was the opening night highlight of the National Stationery Show (NSS). After a lively musical overture performed by the evening's "ring masters" Rob Fortier and Meryl Hooker of the Center Aisle Group, and opening remarks by Patti Stracher, director of the NSS and GCA executive vice president, and Susan January, GCA president and vice president of Leanin' Tree, the evening's "acts" honoring the best in 64 categories took center ring, leading up to the grand finale - the naming of the two Cards of the Year. "

Taking those top honors for Card of the Year (Above $3.50) was first-time Louie entrant Maginating, which also took top honors in the Romantic Occasions (Above $3.50) category.
DeFrance has been involved in the Stationery Show for over 10 years producing projects for designers and companies across the country. This year was particularly exciting for DeFrance, not only did we have multiple clients showing but Brad Woods from Maginating was up for 2 Louie Awards. He called on Monday to tell us not only had he won both categories but he also won for Greeting Card of the Year!

Save the Date
The "Alice in Wonderland" themed save the dates were created by paper stylist Elizabeth Seaton at Posh Paperie back in 2011 and we received so many comments about how amazing they were we had to feature the project.
The save the date feature's a vintage "Alice" on what looks like a playing card all die cut out of super thick 220# paper stock. The combination of the paper and deep impression from the letterpress produces an amazing finish.
Project Details-
Paper- 220# Lettra Pearl White
Ink- Black + PMS Color
Print Style- Letterpress 2 colors 2 sides
Additional- Custom Die Cut To see Posh Paperie's blog write up click here-
