We'll, last night we attended "Angel's Arm's" at the Lamb's Players Theatre. In my opinion, one of the better Christmas plays I have attended at Lamb's over the years. Good Music, Good Dancing, Great Actors and a Great Story. It was nice to see a full house and everyone smiling ready for Christmas. It's not to late to catch a showing, go to their website and buy tickets online, it shows until the 28th.

Been to any Play's lately?
Whens the last time any of you have attended a play? Tomorrow night as my family has done for more than 20 years we get together and attend Lamb's Players Christmas play. If you are looking for something to get your Christmas spirit going, head over to Coronado. You can see the Christmas tree lit up at the Hotel Del, sit down at one of the great restaurants within walking distance and then catch a play at Lamb's Players to finish the night off. Con Pane's Hang Tags
Well, I promised some printed samples and here is one. Looks tasty, the food I mean. The project was for Con Pane Rustic Breads & Cafe in Point Loma, an amazing bakery offering a variety of Fresh Bread, Sandwiches, Sweet Crisps and more.
The tags are for their newest creation, “Sweet Crisps”, where they offer 6 different options for snacking. Above is an example of how they are packaged or go visit them in Point Loma to see for yourself.
Today we decided to try out Con Pane’s sandwiches and picked some up for everyone at the shop, what a hit. I ordered the Turkey on Wheat, wow! The bread is amazing(Thick) and complimented with sliced Turkey, Crumbled Blue Cheese, Bacon and more. Great sandwiches, a must have in my opinion.

Below are some of the Green Options we currently offer and our opinions on how they are working.
Inks- Soy based pms & Nu Centura Process printing inks
Positive’s- The inks print and react the same as traditional oil based inks and are an easy way to make your print job more eco friendly without hurting the wallet. Nu Centura, a Soy & Vegetable Oil based ink has been working great. DeFrance has been exclusively using this ink since early 2008 and have nothing but good things to say about it. The ink looks the same as oil based but dry’s harder protecting from scratching and scuffing, this allows piece’s that go in the mail not to be coated. Soy Plus inks are Soy oil based which are used regularly with our Letterpress and Green conscious customers. My hope is in 2009 DeFrance will switch completely to Soy based pms inks benefiting all of our customers & the environment.
Negative’s- None so far
Paper- 100% Cotton, Recycled PC(Post Consumer) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified papers
Positive’s – All of the stocks print wonderfully and as each day passes there are more and more options available allowing our customers to find stock that fits their specific need. Using these types of paper ensures that we are using fewer trees, therefore having less impact on our environment. We hope that in 2009 we can help you make the switch to these great papers.
Negative’s -In saying the above, our customers for the most part are still shying away from these options because of price and availability. No matter how you slice it, businesses have to make money and when buyers are looking to cut cost on a project, paper can be a huge chunk. Until prices can be more competitive and stock is available in the same time frame as traditional paper I believe we will continue to see this.
